I thought I would share with you some of the great dog walks we have in our area, and my favourite places to go on walks with Chewie, my dog.
Pomphrey Hill Playing Fields
Pomphrey Hill Playing Fields is great for dog walks. It has a nice enclosed dog walking area, this large space has several playing fields with a woodland and pond.
There is a free car park as you drive into Pomphrey Hill, or you can access it on foot. There are little hidden footpaths along the cycle track. From here, you will see the Pavillion and large fields (perfect for throwing the ball around or for some dog play time). The area is particularly well known for its Park Runs that occur every Saturday morning at 9am.
There is a small pond, near the bottom field, where some doggies would like a paddle. Also various small wooded areas you can walk through to make walks more interesting.
The whole circuit of Pomphrey takes around 40 minutes, making it a popular spot for dog walks morning or evening.
